In early 2021, a handful of passionate 8-series enthusiasts founded the group “8er Freunde Schwaben”. In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, the goal was clear: to plan road trips and events—to stay active instead of waiting it out.
The approach was pragmatic: Better to plan and cancel if necessary than to not organize anything at all. What began as a meeting every two months quickly evolved into a comprehensive program booklet.
Membership grew rapidly. The group soon expanded beyond southern Germany to include interested people from all over Germany—and eventually from neighboring countries as well. The “8er Freunde Schwaben” simply became the “8er Freunde”.
